1 - Adjusting the toasting for the desired result (for models with thermostat)

Select the position according to the freshness of the bread.
1 barely toasted
2-3 lightly toasted
4-5 well browned
6-7 very brown

2 - How do I get rid of the crumbs in my Tefal toaster?

Simply take your toaster to the bin or sink and open the crumb tray at the bottom of the toaster. The crumbs will fall out immediately. To remove crumbs which are stuck in the toaster, shake the toaster well during cleaning.

3 - How should I clean my toaster?

The appliance does not need much maintenance. From time to time, clean the outside with a damp cloth and a small amount of washing up liquid .
Crumbs are collected in the base plate of the toaster and should be occasionally removed by pulling out the tray or opening the cover at the bottom of the appliance, depending on the model.
Do not use any abrasive products or cleaners containing alcohol. Only use mild and neutral washing up liquid.

4 - Is it possible to reheat and toast at the same time?

No. For safety reasons we request that the appliances only be used for one function at a time - either toasting or reheating.

5 - The bread lever does not stay down - Why?

Check that the appliance is plugged in. (It must be plugged to work.)
It may need the crumbs cleaned out.

6 - What is the best type of bread to toast in the TEFAL toaster for all over toasting ?

Standare square cut bread.
Remember that stale bread toasts faster than fresh bread. Frozen bread takes longer. If a slice of bread gets stuck, switch off the appliance and leave it to cool. Un plug the appliance before attempting to remove the bread. You can then remove the slice without the risk of touching a hot element. Remember never to leave a toaster unattended whilst in operation.

7 - What sorts of breads can be toasted?

Almost all kinds of breads can be toasted with the following guidelines.
The bread must be sized according to the slot size.
It must enter the toaster without being forced in.
Do not toast breads with a sugar coating or glazing that can melt inside the toaster. It may become a fire hazard.
If toasting filled breads or pastries such as pop tarts, be sure they are properly sized and not cracked to avoid the filling leaking into the toaster.
If toasting breads with dried fruit, remove any loose pieces before toasting. (They could fall inside the toaster and cause damage.)

8 - Where can I place my toaster?

Do not place your toaster near any flamable or heat-sensitive items such as directly in front of a socket or near paper. Always unplug when not in use. And never leave the appliance unattended while in use. Be sure to let the appliance cool down completely prior to storing away.
